Ayurvedic Bliss Balls:

These ayurvedic bliss balls are yummy organic treats! Using tasty ayurvedic spices and ingredients they are the perfect substitute for any Halloween candy you might be tempted to feast on!

They are extremely nutritious and raw, so be careful how many you eat. You don’t ant to become Vata provoked.

This Ayurvedic recipe makes about 16-1 balls; however, you can make about 24 smaller ones if you like.

1 ½ cups pumpkin seeds

1 cup dried apricots

½ cup dates (soak overnight if possible)

½ cup goggi berries (soak overnight if possible)

½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut

½ cup oat bran

1/3-cup maple syrup

1/3 cup of coconut oil (in warm liquid form)

1 cup almond butter

¾ cup raw cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp ground cloves

½ tsp pink salt

Note: Try and buy organic ingredients!

Cut up apricots and dates and place in a bowl. Add goggi berries, pumpkin seeds, coconut oil, oats, and half of the maple syrup.

Combine, and place half of the mixture in a food processor and blend until very fine.

Transfer to a very large bowl and repeat with the remaining mixture; transfer to a bowl.

Add all the remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly.

Note: its most effective if you get in there with your hands and really mix and squish your batter around!

When you have completely mixed your ingredients into nice, thick and dense dough, start to form your bliss balls!

Form into large or smaller balls of your choice and roll in shredded coconut.

If the balls are too dry to pick up the coconut shavings add a little more coconut oil.

Place in the fridge for an hour or so, so they can firm up. Take them out as required and enjoy!!
