Myth #3 :Practicing Ayurveda means eating a vegan diet.

Having its roots in India, written and practiced alongside the vedas which is the seat of hinduism, it is logical for veganism to be intrinsically tied to the ethics of avoiding using animals for food. However, in the original books of Ayurveda(the Caraka Samhita )there are references to meat and bone soups to nourish and fortify serious conditions. The use of meat in the diet definately has its place,  but according to the individual.
