Chamundi has a way introducing people into your life in a direct and intimate way.
As I stay here in my last few days with 9 other intrepid souls, there is ample time to learn about their path here. Sophie is a Scottish born resident of Mallorca who has spent the last 10 years as a chef on a 90-foot sailboat (one she calls small by super yacht standards.) She is here at Chamundi to clear her body and mind of her life at sea, cruising the med in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter, feeding the mouths of the privileged few. It was a job she was born into, and at 31 felt that she had already stayed too long. So Chamundi marks the beginning of a 6-month sojourn into Asia, to explore the outer tenants of the land based wonders of the world and to forge a path into her inner world through yoga and travel. She is armed with an adventurous spirit, an infectious laugh and dry sense of humor, and a natural, unpretentious and enormous artistic talent that she will harness when she reaches Florence to study painting in the fall.
Now THAT is Art I can not wait to see!
