Marma (plural: marmani) is a vital point on the surface of the body which serves a wide range of therapeutic purposes. Marma Therapy can be exceptionally balancing for the nervous system and any stress-related conditions.Treatment includes seated scalp massage, therapeutic foot soak, and herbal tea.

Nasya

Nasya cleanses and opens the channels of the head and improves oxygenation-the flow of Prana-which has a direct and highly beneficial influence on brain function. This treatment begins with a facial steam and is followed by a face and neck massage. Then, herbal oils are administered into the nose to help heal the sinuses.

Svedana

This relaxing treatment is an herbal steam bath from the shoulders down. The combination of the specially selected herbs fused into the steam dilate the channels causing lymphatic detoxification. Generally paired with Abhyanga and Shirodhara this purifying therapy can be added to any of our other therapies.

Hrid Basti (Heart)

The use of warm medicated oils to bathe the heart region pacifies aggravated Vata dosha in the chest, nourishes and strengthens the cardiac muscles, regulates cardiac functions, and relieves deep seated repressed stress, anger, and grief.  Marma point therapy, scalp massage, and therapeutic foot soak are included.

Karuna Purana

This purifying therapy awakens the body’s immune response and integrity of the central nervous system. Flowing a steady stream of warm, herbal oil on to a specific marma point at the top of the ear helps to relieve symptoms of tinnitus, hearing loss, TMJ, vertigo, migraines, and head and neck pain.
